Anatómía de un FRACASO

by Jorge Schultz

Anatomía de un Fracaso is an intimate and universal play in which Jorge Schultz, through an original and emotionally raw text, weaves together autofiction and Chekhov’s The Seagull to ask: What does it mean to fail? What does it mean to be an artist in Chile? Can one keep creating through pain?

Three women—the Playwright, the Director, and the Actress—embody a story that refuses to surrender. In a small warehouse transformed into a theater, the protagonist confronts her past, her art, and her former lover in a journey through memories, repetitions, and personal multiverses where love, creation, and defeat collide.

With dark humor and pop culture references, Anatomía de un Fracaso invites us into the restless mind of someone who cannot stop writing, while a seagull—symbol of freedom and resilience—silently soars above it all.
